Visit of the Very Reverend Father Arturo Sosa Abascal, S.J.

On March 19, 2025, Hôtel-Dieu de France (HDF) had the pleasure of welcoming Father Arturo Sosa Abascal, Superior General of the Society of Jesus. This visit held special significance as it coincided with the 150th anniversary of Saint Joseph University (USJ) and the Feast of Saint Joseph.

It was, in fact, Father Sosa’s first time visiting HDF. During his tour, he explored several key departments, including the Emergency Room, Pediatrics, Medical Imaging, and Dialysis. At each stop, department heads introduced him to their work and missions.

The visit continued at the Campus of Medical Sciences (CSM), where a moment of prayer and blessing took place at the Church of Our Lady of Tenderness. This gathering brought together a USJ delegation that included the Rector, the Provincial, Vice-Rectors, and Deans of various faculties, further strengthening the ties between the institutions.
