Smoking Cessation Center

"Every action, no matter how small, that reduces the risks associated with tobacco consumption is a step in the right direction and deserves to be encouraged."

The Tobacco Cessation Center (CST) at Hôtel-Dieu de France, established in 2006, consists of a specialized consultation unit for cessation support that includes personalized follow-up and psychological support. Its team includes:

  • A pulmonologist responsible for assessing the medical case and deciding on the therapeutic plan; they initiate the treatment and provide a strong signal to the smoker about the importance of quitting.
  • A psychiatrist tasked with diagnosing underlying psychiatric conditions and assessing their severity.
  • A specially trained nurse who welcomes patients, provides initial advice, conducts assessments, and offers follow-up through phone support. They encourage smokers to seriously consider the possibility of quitting.
  • A psychologist trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy to evaluate motivation, establish the psychological treatment plan, and ensure weekly follow-up.
  • A dietitian who addresses the patient’s needs.

These various programs are perfectly compatible with individualized support.

"Inhale life, exhale smoke: don’t smoke, yes to a better future!"
