Prayer gathering and moment of silence at Hôtel-Dieu de France in memory of the victims of August 4

Hôtel-Dieu de France organized a "gathering of prayer and silence" in memory of the victims of August 4 and their families, in front of the Emergency Department "Witness of this fateful night."

After a minute of silence and the national anthem, Father Elie Daou prayed “for Lebanon and the victims and their families, for the doctors, nurses, especially those who worked that night to save the injured, and for all those who were affected by that night.”

The Director General of Hôtel-Dieu de France, Mr. Nassib Nasr, then spoke: "The hospital has pledged to stand every year on this day in front of the Emergency Department, which did a heroic job that night, hoping that justice will be rendered to the victims of the explosion and to our homeland, Lebanon."

He added, "We do not remember the past to suffer, but to learn! We also look to the future and the future of this country, in which we will stay, no matter what they try.”

The parties present lit candles in front of the Hôtel-Dieu de France logo for 4 August.
