Webinar - Rare Diseases… not so Rare!

Hôtel-Dieu de France has organized its 4^th scientific webinar for healthcare professionals entitled “Rare Diseases… not so Rare!” on Wednesday June 2, 2021.

This virtual event brought together health professionals from several specializations where different interventions and exchange of expertise took place around the roadmap of rare diseases diagnosis that are of genetic origin and in particular, affects only a minority but often can be evolutionary and mortal.

Several topics were discussed such as the consultation with a neurologist and cardiologist, neonatal screening, pediatric to adult transition, Gaucher disease, Pompe disease, and Fabry disease. The webinar was closed with a symposium on the acquired hemophilia, which is a frequently underdiagnosed fatal hemorrhagic disorder.
