For the third consecutive year, the Orthopedic Surgery Department at Hôtel-Dieu de France organized the annual “Dagher-Kharrat” Orthopedic Conference. This event pays tribute to two outstanding figures in orthopedic surgery and medical education in Lebanon, Professors Fernand Dagher and Khalil Kharrat, whose legacy continues to inspire generations of orthopedic surgeons.

The scientific program, both comprehensive and diverse, featured presentations by distinguished Lebanese orthopedic surgeons.

Held under the leadership of Professor Ismat Ghanem, Head of the Orthopedic Surgery Department, the conference was attended by Mr. Nassib Nasr, Chief Executive Officer of the USJ-HDF Network, Professor Elie Nemr, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Elias Chelala, President of the Lebanese Order of Physicians, as well as numerous healthcare professionals.

Spanning two days, this scientific gathering offered specialized sessions covering the full spectrum of orthopedic surgery. It brought together experts from various hospitals and leading figures in Lebanese orthopedics, fostering scientific exchange and the sharing of the latest advances in the field.

This year’s conference introduced two major innovations: a dedicated session for operating room nurses specializing in orthopedic surgery, and another for young Lebanese researchers, medical students, and orthopedic surgery residents from universities across Lebanon.
